Mikayla Pivec is a former Oregon State women’s basketball student-athlete (2016-20). During her time at OSU, Mikayla’s team shared success in an Elite 8 and two Sweet Sixteen runs. Mikayla didn’t have the opportunity for a fairytale ending during her final collegiate season, as COVID-19 cancelled the NCAA tournament and didn’t grant any additional eligibility to that year’s senior class.

Drafted 25th overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft, Mikayla has played professional basketball overseas since graduating from OSU. Mikayla played in northern Spain for a team called Cadi LA Seu and is currently playing in Puerto Rico for a team called Morovis Montaneras, where she has been reunited with one of her OSU teammates, Kat Tudor.

Mikayla earned an Undergraduate Honors Degree in BioHealth Sciences with a Pre-Medicine track in just three years and went on to complete her Masters in Biochemistry and Biophysics.

Off the court, Mikayla is a self-proclaimed nerd who is curious about everything and is constantly searching for “how” and “why” things work. Other interests of Mikayla’s  include: healthcare, tech and medicine, cooking and baking, kombucha, reading, traveling, language learning, volunteering, podcasts and hiking.
